Is this the Nexus 8?

The internet loves nothing more than a good rumour! Over the weekend it was noticed on the Android.com website that there was an interesting picture of a woman holding a not before seen tablet that looks just about 1″ bigger in screen size than the Nexus 7.

Needless to say there are no other details about this mystery device but images of it have left people coming to the conclusion that Google are about to go head to head with the iPad Mini and offer a size matching, but no doubt cheaper device to the public.

The image hasn’t been pulled yet which would kind of say Google aren’t too worried about it but you’d never know!

Update: The image has been changed to show the Nexus 7 now so maybe there is something in the original picture. We’ll have to wait and see.
