Irish Tech News win at the Realex Fire Web Awards 2014!!!

Written by @SimonCocking more at.

Irish Tech News made the news themselves last night by winning the Realex Fire Web Awards in the Science and Technology section.

John, editor, and driving force behind Irish Tech News celebrated at last nights Realex Fire Web Awards

Irish Tech News had been delighted to have made the final list. Silicon Republic had seemed to have a permanent lock on this category. However Irish Tech News had recently added a new collection of talented writers, to increase the range of topics covered on the booming Irish Tech and Startup scene. This strategy has paid off in spades with an increased readership, more engagement and now this major award.

The result was a popular choice with the audience when they called out ‘Irish Tech News‘ to come and collect their trophy, with a lot of cheering from the audience.  Official photos will follow, but contributor Sheena Murphy @xgwishyx showed great presence of mind to demand a victory selfie from the event host @rickoshea !

Whoop whoop.
