JNB Music, an Irish based music tech company, has been selected to attend Menorca Millennials -the world’s first start-up decelerator community event.

The company’s cloud-based platform functions as a digital jukebox. Customers can access the playlist of any venue which plays music via the app. They select the song they’d like to hear next. The songs with the most votes are played first.

JNB Music is planning to launch in Dublin venues during May.

Customers can download the free app from iTunes or Android app stores. The platform also has a free Private Party feature which can be used at birthdays, anniversaries and other gatherings. Guests download the app and vote for the song they’d like to hear next.

JNB Music is one of 20 start-ups selected from over 400 global applicants to attend Menorca Millennials. Applications were limited to startups preparing for their next funding round who had innovative and disruptive software projects.

The event takes place on the island of Menora between 1 and 15 June 2017. Attendees and start-ups will be invited to participate in 1:1 networking and other activities with leading figures in business and technology. The aim of the event is to build relationships between startups, prospective investors and larger businesses. A number of startups may also be selected to receive funding from the Torrent Road investment vehicle.
