KelTech IoT, a Dublin-born, next-generation energy and infrastructure company, has today announced it has been chosen out of over 100 startups to take part in Silicon Valley’s Telecom Council Innovation Showcase Class of 2022. The Telecom Council represents emerging technology in the communications industry. Current members include Ericsson, Orange, T-Mobile and Telstra among others. KelTech IoT is a company based on creating sustainable solutions for telecommunications by bridging the gap between telecoms and energy.

Today’s announcement will see the ambitious Irish business present its solutions to the world’s most influential people in the telco, vendor, and investor community on the 10th and 11th of May. With 9 of the world’s 10 biggest telcos being Telecom Council members, and 60% of its communication investments, VCs and startups tied to Silicon Valley, the opportunity to showcase marks a major milestone into the global epicenter of technology for the Irish firm.

KelTech IoT has company offices in London, England, and Al Murooj, Saudi Arabia, as well as a presence in the USA, South Africa and Australia. It currently works with large clients across construction, retail, airports, hospitals, property management and more. Clients include Quintain, Cellnex and Sensori and the KelTech IoT team have also worked with Quintain on the Wembley Park Project, Europe’s largest urban regeneration project.

It was KelTech IoT’s Dual Distributed Network (DDN), an integrated solution that converges energy and data, that caught the attention of the Silicon Valley judging panel. Telco judges based their decision on companies that offer the most innovative solutions to telecommunications challenges, including improving networks, lowering OPEX and increasing subscriber satisfaction.

KelTech IoT’s energy-saving DDN was chosen for its positive impact on the capital and operational economics of communication infrastructure deployments. The company’s DDN solution combines data with power through one single hybrid cable, resulting in a quicker, more cost-effective and safer implementation for large scale developments.

The Telecom Council is a community of industry professionals who have met monthly since 2001 in a bid to promote world-changing telco start-ups. With just 20 new and emerging start-ups chosen each year, KelTech was selected based on its potential to disrupt the communications market.

Commenting on KelTech IoT’s inclusion on the prestigious list, CEO and Founder Mark Kellett said:

“We are ecstatic that KelTech IoT has earned its place on this elite list for Telecom Council’s Innovation Showcase Class of 2022. We are innovating today in a world that is facing serious problems, from energy inequality to climate change and it has always been our mission to focus on the 4 Ds – decarbonisation, digitalisation, decentralisation and democratisation. To be recognised in this group is an incredible achievement and will enable us to make our goal of global energy efficiency and innovation possible.”
