When and where is it on?

The Ireland Portugal Business Network (IPBN) are organising on Wednesday April 28 and Friday April 30 via Zoom a series of 3 conversations with key Portuguese players in the Tech sector.

What was the inspiration to start it?

“Over the past five years, Portugal has climbed the European Innovation Scoreboard, which ranks EU member states’ research and innovation performance. In 2020, Portugal joined the second-highest grouping alongside Germany, France, and Ireland. This progress is reflected by exporters’ tech advancements in everything from engineering to artificial intelligence (AI), machinery to digital transformation.” This is according to the FD Intelligence “Made in Portugal 2.0 – Where tradition meets Innovation” Feb/Mar 2021 new Special Report.

The Ireland Portugal Business Network wanted to know more about this and encourage the business opportunities and rapprochement in the tech sector between the two countries.

What exciting things can people look forward to?

As part of our mission, this event has been organised to help create business opportunities and partnerships between Irish and Portuguese Tech companies. Irish start-ups, entrepreneurs, investors and SMEs are all very much welcome to join us for this event, which will give a very good insight into the tech sector here in Portugal.

What opportunities are on offer for those attending?

This event is really made for Irish businesspeople involved in the Tech sector looking for partnerships abroad, opening an office in Lisbon and/or hiring talent.
