IP Telecom announced as sponsors of Peamount United Women’s Senior Team

IP Telecom, Ireland’s innovative telecommunications service provider, has announced its sponsorship of Peamount United’s Women Senior Team for the 2023 football season, which kicks off on March 3rd.

The Peamount United team, based in Newcastle, South County Dublin, are close to the heart of IP Telecom’s CEO Shena Brien, who has supported them as her local team throughout her life. The Senior Women’s Team is a core member of  the FAI’s Women’s National League (WNL), and have enjoyed past success as champions of the tournament most recently in 2020 as well as competing in the 2012/13 UEFA Women’s Champions League. Its players have included international sports stars such as Katie Taylor, Stephanie Roche, Louise Quinn and Karen Duggan, all of whom have represented Ireland at international level.

Speaking on the announcement, Shena Brien, CEO of IP Telecom said: “All of us at IP Telecom are delighted to become lead sponsor of Peamount United Women’s team. In the year of the Women’s World Cup and the additional focus on the Women’s National League, the game in Ireland can soar to new levels – empowering the next generation of powerful women across Sport, Business and Technology.”
