International IT specialists to discuss the future of technology at Ireland’s inaugural Cloud Conference

Cloud Aggregator MicroWarehouse will host ‘Cloud Camp’ at the Dublin Convention Centre on the 17th of October 2018. The first of its kind in Ireland, the conference will unite IT professionals, CIO’s and data protection specialists from around the world to take stock of the latest developments in the world of Cloud Technology.

Event organiser MicroWarehouse was recently announced as Microsoft’s Channel Distributor of the Year 2018 for the second year running.

The focus of the conference will be on Microsoft Cloud Technology, with many of the speakers recognised as Microsoft Valuable Professionals (MVP). Attendees will also be able to attend sessions on themes such as digital transformation, productivity, security, compliance and governance and the future of cloud technology.

GDPR and cyber security will also be hot topics of debate. In June, MicroWarehouse commissioned a survey examining how Irish businesses had been affected one month on from the introduction of GDPR. The survey found that over 57% of companies do not think the introduction of GDPR has made any difference to their day to day operations whereas only 43% of Irish companies consider cybersecurity a top priority.

The conference will feature a panel of carefully selected Irish and International speakers. The keynote address will be delivered by two of the world’s leading technology Journalists Paul Thurrott and Mary Jo Foley, who will explore the future of Microsoft Technology.

Alongside them will be 11-time Microsoft MVP Recipient and Technical Sales Lead at MicroWarehouse Aidan Finn, “MicroWarehouse is extremely excited about the inaugural ‘Cloud Camp’ and are delighted to be onboard as sponsors and partners. In particular, we are delighted to have secured such internationally renowned experts and are looking forward to hearing about global trends and what the next generation of Cloud will look like.  As a country, we continue to thrive in technology and IT thanks to the incredible talent of Ireland’s employees in this field, many of whom will be in attendance in October.”

Cloud software has seen a major expansion in recent years, as companies seek to reduce the costs and risks associated with the storing of data on premises. Microsoft has been one of the leading investors on the cloud technology front. The expansion of its cloud computing services is widely regarded as helping the company reach record profits of $100bn thus far in 2018.

The conference is ideal for IT professionals, CIO’s and data security specialists seeking to better understand and harness the benefits of Cloud Technology.

Other speakers at Cloud Camp 2018 include Thomas Maurer, MVP and Lead Architect at itnetX, Didier Van Hoye, MVP Technical Architect, Damien Flynn, MVP and Principal Consultant at Lumagate, Kevin Green, MVP and Azure Cloud Lead at Ergo.

Early bird tickets are on sale now and will be available until the 31st August 2018. Further details on the event and ticket sales can be found here: https://cloudcamp.ie/
