Integrity360, one of the leading pan-European cyber security specialists, has announced that it is helping secure the operational systems for FBD Insurance.
FBD operates from headquarters in Dublin, with 34 branch offices nationwide and a large central contact centre in Mullingar. Established over 50 years ago, the company originally served the agricultural community and has since grown tobecome one of Ireland’s leading general insurers.
Due to the highly sensitive nature of the business that FBD operates in, the insurer needs to keep pace with an increasingly complex cyber security landscape – in terms of both evolving attack methods and growing regulatory requirements. To counter rising attack attempts, Integrity360 delivered a managed firewall service for FBD. It also implemented a managed threat and vulnerability management solution to boost the company’s alignment with regulations such as the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA).
The solution proactively monitors and mitigates cyber risks for FBD. This enables the company to securely deliver its services across home, car, travel, and life insurance, while protecting the confidential data of more than half a million customers in Ireland. In addition, it ensures compliance with new and changing industry regulations and legislation. It also provides deeper cyber insights and analytics, enabling more informed decision-making.
In turn, the system increases visibility and reduces the burden on internal teams, enabling FBD’s 1,000 employees to focus on strategic priorities. Furthermore, Integrity360 offers 24/7 monitoring and support to teams in the event of an incident. As cyber threats continue to evolve, Integrity360 and FBD plan to expand the partnership to incorporate deeper threat intelligence and cloud security.
Enda Kyne, Chief Technology and Operations Officer, FBD Insurance, said: “While enhanced regulations bring improved standards and alignment across the financial services industry, it also adds a layer of complexity to everyday operations. Integrity360 has deep cyber security expertise and a strong understanding of highly regulated industries, making this partnership a natural fit. We now have much greater control and visibility of specific defensive tools, as well as access to expert guidance. The solution enables us to remain competitive in a fast-moving industry and confidently deliver a secure service offering to customers.”
Kias Carroll, Strategic Client Partner, Integrity360, said: “This solution is enabling FBD to remove complexity, enhance compliance, and strengthen its security posture. This improved resilience provides peace of mind to FBD as it serves high volumes of customers within a strict regulatory environment. Our team provides a breadth of knowledge across IT risk frameworks and understands the critical importance of good governance. The solution is flexible and will scale with FBD as the company continues to expand and evolve.”
