The Coronavirus shows that you cannot predict the future. That does not mean you can engineer your own destiny. Hence, “Engineering the future”. Unpredictable does not mean unprepared.

Think surveillance, think online, think less travel, think community, think family, think health, think mental fitness, think meaning of life, think changing perspective on work, jobs and their added value, think bullshit jobs, think data, think elderly care, think lots of babies being born, think wearable, thinks sensors, think IoT, think 3D printing, think AR and VR, think online gaming, think economy, think Gross National Happiness, think Buddhist economics. Think pendulum. Action is reaction. I can go on for a while. It will be fantastic and ultimately all for the better.
