When and where is it on?

Idea 2 Scale #7 will take place at Krüst Bakery on Georges Street in Dublin on the evening of March 4th

How many years has it been going?

Our Idea 2 Scale Meetup group was started about 18 months ago

What was the inspiration to start it?

We wanted to get a diverse group of founders and startup focused individuals around a table to share advice, brainstorm on opportunities and discuss problems, using the group as a sounding board to get feedback at the early stages. The format has evolved to include one main speaker kicking the event off by sharing their story and learnings.

What exciting things can people look forward to?

Our next event features an interesting speaker in Garret Flower. He has started two very different businesses; Krüst Bakery (where the event will be held) and Parkpnp which has raised €4.1 million to date facilitating peer 2 peer parking. On the night, the audience will also be treated to some of Krüst’s Bakery’s famous treats!

What opportunities are on offer for those attending?

Those who come along have the chance to learn some practical lessons from Garret’s journey and a platform to share their idea / problem / innovation with an informed audience and get some valuable feedback.

Who will be speaking?

Garret Flower, founder of Parkpnp and Krüst Bakery. The event will be facilitated by Idea 2 Scale founder Danny O’Brien and Lorcan Bannon.

What tips would you give to people attending to get the most out of it?

If you’re interested in pitching or sharing your idea on the night, reach out to the organisers (Danny / Lorcan) in advance. Otherwise, just come along with an open mind. It’s a friendly crowd in an intimate setting where everyone has a unique and valuable point of view when providing feedback for those presenting.

How can people book tickets / when does it usually sell out?

People can sign up directly on Meetup at this link. There are a limited number of tickets available. We usually reach capacity a few days before the event.
