By @SimonCocking. We found out more about the upcoming Digital Transformation Conference, at the Pavilion Theatre, Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin taking place on 8th June 2017 (see here more info and for tickets).
When is it on?
Thursday 8th June in Dún Laoghaire’s own Pavilion Theatre
How many years has it been going?
This is the first year, but as the event is being powered by the Digital Dún Laoghaire initiative we would hope to make it a sustainable event for the town.
What was the inspiration to start it?
It was built in to the Digital Dún Laoghaire Action Plan, which was officially launched by Minister Mary Mitchell O’Connor, in April. Digital Dún Laoghaire seeks to create a strong cluster of Digital businesses in the town, attract new early stage companies in this space and create 450 new jobs in the next two years. We feel that having DLR Summit in the centre of Dún Laoghaire will be a step in the right direction in terms of creating a local, digital community.
What exciting things can people look forward to for the 2017 version? – As this DLR Summit is the first one, we absolutely delighted to be welcoming both local entrepreneurs, like Roz Purcell, Chris Horn and Anthony Quigley, who’ll also be speaking along side some of the most innovative multi-nationals around, such as Facebook, Microsoft and IBM.
What opportunities are on offer for people / startups / investors and companies attending?
There is a great opportunity to learn about future-proofing your business. As the latest innovations in Digital Marketing, Social Media, Cloud Computing and Data and Analytics happen so fast, DLR Summit: Digital Transformation will teach attendees how to get, and stay ahead with emerging new trends.
What tips would you give to people attending to get the most out of it?
Bring a note taking device, Business cards and sunglasses – When the sun is shining in Dún Laoghaire, there is no place like it, so expect to network on the terrace outside the theatre.
How can people book tickets / when does it usually sell out?
People can book by going to DLRSummit.com and buying tickets here.
