How to Become an UnstRonaute – The Job Camp for 10-12 year olds Launches this Summer with Mike Mongo

What else would you do with your Space-mad-preteen but send them to a Job Camp and let them hear from SpaceX’s Inspiration 4 Astronaut DR SIAN PROCTOR, NASA Space Shuttle Astronaut NICOLE STOTT and also Future Mars Walker Alyssa Carson?

PLEASE CLICK THE LINK BELOW TO LISTEN TO THE PODCAST:

This Job Camp has been unveiled on our podcast as fully sponsored and paid by the generosity of Shetland Space Centre at Saxa Vord, Unst, Scotland, and Wildland. We also talked about Why Space? How to Participate in Space Sports? Mike also mentioned Humunnaires.org which provides a wonderful and supportive way to reassure and support children who have to quarantine, a novel idea!

About Mike

Mike Mongo is an astronaut teacher and author of the children’s book The Astronaut Instruction Manual.

He is also vice-president of interstellar space science maker group & non-profit Icarus Interstellar, and strategic director for biennial interstellar space science summit, Starship Congress. What’s more, he also serves as an At-Large Board Member and active student member of Students for Exploration and Development of Space (SEDS). Interestingly he is also one of the co-founders of Yuri’s Night Space Coast at Kennedy Space Center.

He lives in Sherman Oaks, CA, where he works on a television series for the first kids in space with Alcon Entertainment (The Expanse). You can often find him at a local coffee shop in front of a laptop.

Astronaut Job Camp

Tomorrow’s jobs are in Space! Learning this, gives today’s kids critical competitive advantage for tomorrow’s space jobs.

Mike Mongo’s Astronaut Job Camp opens the door to tomorrow’s jobs in space by giving today’s students permission to imagine themselves living, working, and playing in Space.
