1 min pitch for what you are doing now?

Building and Promoting our online courses and masterclasses to help female founders get ready for funding, preparing a re-launch of our membership site and raising awareness around the world through diverse speaking engagements, including at the Monaco Blockchain Conference, Dublin Tech Summit, Innovate Finance and the OECD.

How was the last year, what worked well, what didn’t move as quickly as you would have liked?

Last year was quite a difficult year for me personally, because I had a very serious accident where I broke my back. My healing journey took over 9 months and I had to concentrate on that for most of last year and early this year. Having said that, I learned a lot from this difficult experience, particularly about resilience, bouncing back after a big setback and knowing what’s really important to focus on. I can honestly say it has been life-changing, and am looking forward to this year being my best year yet. There’s nothing like staring death in the face to refocus the mind and learning that there are some things you just can’t hurry along, like recovery.

What are your plans for the future?

I will continue to be a strong women’s advocate, working on helping to close the Funding Gap between men and women (estimated to be over $300 billion) through my speaking engagements and work at Global Invest Her. I also look forward to building more global partnerships to accelerate our product pipeline and continue to build our team.

What inspired you to attend it?

The fact that it’s a conference focused specifically on Blockchain innovations  together with an Investment Focus. I hadn’t seen that done so well in that way before.

I follow many influencers in the Tech and investment space, including Dr Sue Black @Dr_Black , Arlan Hamilton from Backstage Ventures@ArlanWasHere,  The Billion Dollar Fund for Women, and all the leading investors in the startup/female funds space. My go to tools to keep up with the latest developments are Twitter, Linked in, Crunchbase, CBInsights and Femstreet @femstreet for their excellent weekly newsletter, among many other sources.
