1 min pitch for what you are doing now?

I’ve just finished my second cookbook. All the copy has been handed in, recipe images have been shot and we’ve just finalised the book cover. It’s been a busy few months working on the book ad I’m delighted with the outcome. I’m really excited to share my next book with people. I did lots of research before I started to find out what exactly people wanted from a cookbook and my main aim was to make cooking and baking fun and enjoyable but easy and quick.

How were the last 12 months, what worked well, what didn’t move as quickly as you would have liked?

A lot has happened in the last 12 months. This time last year, I just finished my pop-up shop to launch my first cookbook. Now, this year, I’ve just finished working on my second book which is due out in Autumn.

I’ve worked with some amazing brands in the last 12 months and developed long term partnerships which are where my focus lies with brand work.

The past year, I spent a lot of time planning. I have lots of ideas I want to implement and I’m learning some things take time. I just want everything to happen however, it’s not that easy. So, I’ve taken the time to work out short-term and long-term goals and how I’m going to achieve and where I want to focus my energy.

What are your plans for the future?

I’ve started to a lot more work in the UK recently and keen to expand my portfolio in the UK. There are so many opportunities there for food and fitness which are my two main interests. I’ve started working with some UK food brand and fitness brands to produce some fun new creative content to share with my followers which I’m really enjoying at the moment.

I’ve lots of ideas for more books and plans to expand Natural Born Feeder – let’s just say I’ve a busy year ahead!

What will you be talking about at this event?

How social media has helped grow my business. Social media has played a huge part to the success of Natural Born Feeder. Instagram and YouTube are my main social channels, the platforms allow me to share delicious food pictures and recipe videos showing just how easy it is to make healthy dishes.

They’ve allowed me to reach an audience not just in Ireland but also abroad to promote my brand.

My presentation will discuss this and techniques I follow to successfully grow a brand on social.

What inspired you to attend it?

For me, it’s a mix. I love sharing information I have learned to people but events like this also provide an opportunity for me to learn from experts. I always pick up such useful information and tips I can apply. It’s great for networking and making connections in various industries.

Which influencers and websites do you follow to keep up to date with the latest developments?

In terms of websites related to my industry, I follow The Body Coach. It’s great to get an insight into innovative ways to promote health food. I also love Jamie Oliver, he is great on social media and how he uses it to share important messages and get a conversation happening online on certain topics.

My sister works in digital marketing and helps me keep Natural Born Feeder up to date. She is always sharing social updates and digital news and trialling new platform updates on NBF.

How can people find out more about what you are working on?

Simply just follow me on social media and my website I regularly share updates across social on my personal profiles and Natural Born Feeder profiles. I’m a big fan of Instagram Stories and love sharing live updates with my followers. I also have a newsletter on my website that people can sign up to. I share monthly updates specific to Natural Born Feeder and exclusive recipes too!
