Hello Tomorrow Paris, March, 12th-13th, 2020

When and where is it on?

12-13th March 2020, Paris

How many years has it been going?
The event has been going since 2014. Our first event was called “The First Day of Tomorrow”. As we gained more and more attendees from abroad, we became The Hello Tomorrow Global Summit. The 2020 event is our sixth edition.

Hello Tomorrow Paris, March, 12th-13th, 2020

What was the inspiration to start it?
Hello Tomorrow was created by two PhD students Xavier Duportet and Arnaud De La Tour back in 2013 who wanted to support the transfer of new, cutting-edge science and technology such as synthetic biology, AI and quantum computing that today we call “deep tech”. They knew that the support and resources needed for deep tech were different from those of traditional web and mobile innovations, which is why they started our ‘Global Challenge’ to support early-stage science entrepreneurs and the ‘Global Summit’ which brought all important stakeholders (startups, corporates, investors, PhDs, policy makers, media accelerators & incubators) under one roof to celebrate and accelerate the transfer of deep technologies.

What exciting things can people look forward to?

Apart from the exciting line-up of speakers who are experts in their respective fields, attendees can also get hands-on practical advice on science entrepreneurship, corporate-startup collaborations and investment trends in deep tech.

You’ll also get to meet some of the most promising new up-and-coming startups out there. We got 5,000 applications from 128 countries to our Global Challenge this year and our network of experts have selected the very best few hundred to attend the event. Their innovations cover many different industries.

Finally, we keep the theme of the Summit a secret every year, so attendees will find out on the day, through our scenography, where they are being transported. Last year the Summit was nature-inspired as we explored the relationship between man-made technologies and nature today, which has a surprisingly strong link!

What opportunities are on offer for those attending?

The Hello Tomorrow Global Summit uncovers tomorrow’s trends and the most promising new projects, taking attendees to the forefront of new ideas. With 3,500 participants from 60 countries and a unique setting designed for unconventional meetings, it’s the right place to collaborate with industry leaders, startups, researchers and experts in the deep tech network. The event is part of a series of events organised for the first ever ‘Deep Tech Week‘ this year.

Who will be speaking?

Some of the speakers already confirmed include Jens Nielsen, Professor at Chalmers University Sweden who is building cell factories for sustainable biofuels, Elham Khasefi, Research Director at CNRS who is helping to build a quantum-encrypted world, Ralph Fritche, Senior Program Manager at NASA who is working towards one day growing vegetables in space and Ellen Jorgensen, CSO of Carverr who is harnessing the power of synbio to improve our food security. You can discover all our speakers via our website.

What tips would you give to people attending to get the most out of it?

There is so much to get out of the event, we would recommend downloading our event networking tool before the event to help plan your day! The Hello Tomorrow Global Summit is going paperless this year, so the program and all event information can be found on the app. You can bookmark and pre-register for sessions, interact with speakers during panel sessions and make your voice heard at the event. You’ll also be able to connect with all participants at the event, so you can easily identify the people you’re looking to meet.

How can people book tickets / when does it usually sell out?

You can book tickets via the Hello Tomorrow Global Summit here. The early-bird passes are still available, but tickets start to run low in 2020 – don’t miss out!

Here are a list of several confirmed speakers which could make for interest profiling ahead of the event:
