Very late to the party, and probably just before it is replaced, Google has made the Nexus 6 available via their updated Google Store.

Up to now, devices such as the Chromecast or Nest thermostat were available through the Play Store alongside Apps and movies. Google has now moved all of its hardware to its own revamped store, which to this point had been inaccessible from Ireland.

Manufactured by Motorola, the phone borrows more than a few design cues from the 2014 Moto X but also packs some of the latest specs which include:

  • 1440 x 2560 2K screen
  • 3GB RAM
  • 32/ 64GB storage options
  • Turbo Charge function which adds 6 hours life from 15 mins charge
  • Android 5.0 Lollipop
  • 13MP Camera
  • 2.7Ghz Snapdragon 805 processor
  • 3220mAh Battery

The phablet is available in either 32 or 64GB options, priced at €599 & €649. The phone has been available via Amazon in the U.K. for sometime at a cheaper price than this, but since the Euro has taken a dive against Sterling there is little difference now.
