Google is kicking off its 2020 Digital Garage workshops on Friday, 28th February at The Foundry, Google HQ, Dublin. The workshop will include expert advice and tips on how to scale your business for international growth and embrace opportunities to reach and engage with global customers online.
Barry Andrews, MEP will officially open the event, along with Enterprise Ireland’s head of regions, Mark Christal.
Digital Garage is part of Google’s global business support initiative, Grow with Google, that aims to help people and businesses acquire the skills needed to embrace the opportunities that technology presents in today’s working world. With 3.7 billion people around the globe currently online, the initiative aims to help Irish businesses leverage the limitless opportunities to reach and connect with consumers from all around the world.
The full-day workshop in Dublin will feature mentoring and talks focussed on digital skills highlighted by business as areas of concern. Some of the main areas of focus on the day include getting your business online and how to utilise Google tools effectively in order to plan and grow your business internationally. This will involve an introduction to Market Finder, which can help business people identify the most suitable market for their product or service, plan their approach and successfully reach new customers abroad with Google Ads.
Commenting, Marie Davis, Head of Google Customer Solutions Ireland said, “We are delighted to be kicking off the new phase of Grow with Google 2020 in Dublin on February 28th. The Digital Garage workshops were a huge success regionally across Ireland last year as a complement to the Grow with Google Breakfast Briefings, and due to high demand, we are very pleased to be running a Digital Garage in Dublin in 2020. Local Irish businesses are vital to our regional economy and through these workshops, we hope to provide support to business people through mentoring and coaching and to equip them with the digital tools and expertise necessary to drive growth both on a domestic and international scale. We want to give business people the confidence to integrate and use digital skills effectively in the everyday running of their business and to ensure success in the future.”
Last year over 1,000 companies took part in Grow with Google Digital Garage workshops around the country, attracting interest from a wide range of business people who were eager to expand their online presence and knowledge.
Digital Garage events are not limited to businesses and will also feature key elements aimed at ambitious business people to help them advance their careers.
