Irish startups from across the country are being encouraged to apply for Google’s Adopt a Startup Programme which was launched today. The 12-week programme is designed to support ambitious startups with the potential to scale in Ireland and internationally.
This year’s programme will focus on the areas of Business Planning & Structure Digital Strategy and International Expansion. Senior Google advisors and experts will share their expertise through hands-on mentoring to help startups overcome obstacles to their ongoing growth and development. Participating startups will also have access to exclusive workshops and lectures, in addition to networking and 1:1 opportunities, which will be tailored to meet the startups needs where required.
Following the 12 weeks, startups will present their progress through a competitive pitch to a panel of judges at Google EMEA HQ, where one participating company will be crowned the winner of Adopt a Startup 2020. Previous winners have walked away with up to €10,000 Ads credit and €100,000 Cloud Credit.
The Adopt a Startup programme was launched by Google in 2014 and has mentored over 150 companies, helping them to develop and grow. FoodCloud, UrbanVolt, Jobbio, Beats Medical and EdgeTier, the 2019 Adopt a Startup winner, are just some of the amazing companies who have participated in the programme and have gone on to achieve significant success in their industries.
The programme was created in Dublin and has become such a success that is now being implemented in dozens of other countries around the world.
Places on the programme are limited to 15 companies, with applications closing on 23 January. More information on Adopt A Startup and full details on how to apply can be found at https://events.withgoogle.com/adoptastartup/
