1 min pitch for what you are doing now?/What will you be talking about at this event?
We are celebrating our 6th anniversary of supporting entrepreneurs the evening of the 25th of April, in the garden of Opium. We will talk about Going Big; how startups can collaborate with corporations and what to think about when expanding internationally. We’ve invited Alberto Onetti from MindTheBrigde and Startup Europe Partnerships and Tom Early who leads the High Potential Startup Start programme at Enterprise Ireland. Entrepreneurs Anonymous (EntAnon) is a community of people interested in entrepreneurship. For the last years we’ve organised hundreds of events in Ireland and Europe where our 5000+ members in Dublin and 14000+ Europe wide could enjoy inspiring talks, Q&A sessions with experts and networking with fellow entrepreneurs in a friendly environment.
What are your plans for 2017?
Make events great again! We are researching how to make the event experience more seamless for both attendees and organisers, with a networking and marketing automation tool. We will also co-organise events with other groups and associations, like we did with Learning Tech Labs last month showcasing ed-tech entrepreneurs and the PR workshop with AlicePR in Glandore. And we are looking into what opportunities entrepreneurs and startups can have with public funding and having the government as a client.
How was 2016, what worked well, what didn’t move as quickly as you would have liked?
2016 was great. It wasn’t that things didn’t move quickly enough, rather that sometimes we didn’t have enough time!
Which influencers and websites do you follow to keep up to date with the latest developments?
Irish Tech News of course! But also Tech.eu to stay up to date with what is going on in Europe. Social Chain is also as a marketing agency doing quite impressive social media campaigns. The chairman of Entrepreneurs Anonymous wrote How to find the perfect Irish influencer:- and identified @Tweetinggoddess Samantha Kelly, @KrishnaDe Krishna De, @donal_cahalane DC Cahalane, @SimonCocking and @genemurphy Gene Murphy as top-influencers who inspire and support Irish entrepreneurs.
