We look at these new headphones from Jlab. You can see more about the product on their website here.
Go Work, Wireless on ear headset, reviewed
This type of device is either becoming more and more popular or manufacturers think it is something that we should be wanting to use. If, on one hand you want your calls coming in through and over what you were listening to, then this will work well. If you are the sort of person who receives a million calls a day, and needs to be talking all day long, then again this is a good option for you. It is cheap too, which is no harm in some ways, but it is also lightweight and so we did wonder about it’s durability, how long would it last if you are indeed using in 24/7?
Around the office those who were more inclined to chatter liked the device. For those who wanted more selectivity about who they spoke to, well this was a less popular option. As always it is probably a case of pay your money and make your choice. We like what Jlab are doing in general, and this product is okay, and we’d just like to see what the long term usage and performance turns out to be like.
More about the headphones
Meet the GO Work wireless on-ear headset, perfect for everyday office life. Enjoy clear calls and video calls – and never forget to un-mute with the mute-indicator-light at the end of the boom mic. The powerful boom mic can be rotated up, when you’re focused independently or down to allow colleagues to hear just you (not the dog barking or the doorbell). Transition from mobile to laptop without touching any settings and enjoy GO Work wired while stationary at your computer or wireless for more mobility to multitask.
Connect wirelessly via Bluetooth to your PC, Mac, mobile and more. Or plug-in with the included USB-C to 3.5mm cable. Plus with Bluetooth multipoint technology you can connect to any two devices simultaneously. Transition from mobile to laptop without touching any settings.
C3 Calling uses dual microphones: One mic picks up your voice and the other eliminates environmental sounds around you so that your voice remains crystal clear anytime, anywhere.
You’ll get a full 45+-hour work week on one charge – and all-day comfort with Cloud Foam earcups. Rotate the boom microphone for listening only – and back down to take a call or video conference.
Quickly toggle the mute function via the controls on the headset. A red LED at the end of the boom mic easily indicates whether mute is on. No more of the dreaded ‘you’re muted’ on video conferences.
Be in complete control to play/pause, answer/reject, volume, mute and track control with the convenient multi-functional buttons located on the headset. Or choose between two EQ settings: Work or Music mode.
