Global University Crypto Trading Competition launched – $25,000 scholarship as prize

Entry is free to students

The Blockchain Academy, a blockchain education and workforce development organization offering over 40 programs in partnership with Universities and Associations has announced the launch of the University Crypto Trading Competition with $25,000 in scholarships awarded from The Blockchain Academy.

From October 21st to November 10th individual student traders and University Student Teams can register to participate in the Competition.  All current undergraduate and graduate students who participate will receive Blockchain Foundations and Crypto Trading Course for free. Only student teams of 3 to 5 are eligible for the $25,000 scholarship.

The announcement comes amid growing demand from students to learn more about Crypto and Blockchain.  Most education institutions are still only researching this quickly adopted technology, contrarily nearly 1 in 5 students in the US already hold cryptocurrencies, twice the adoption rate of the general public.  The Crypto Trading Simulator provides students with a Bloomberg Terminal investment banker type experience providing learners 86 trading indicators, live crypto pricing, and simulated market conditions, such as Up-Market, Down-Market, and Volatile.

“The University Crypto Trading Competition and donated courses are intended to provide existing students greater understanding of the paradigm shift happening to business, government, investing, and everything the internet touches”, says Ryan Williams, Executive Director of The Blockchain Academy. “Students graduating in the next 2 to 4 years will be entering the job market as Web3.0 takes hold.  This generation needs to understand the power they are wielding.”

The Blockchain Academy $25,000 education program scholarship is intended to help the Universities and Colleges establish blockchain labs on campus to nurture blockchain skills and minimal valuable product application development.  Scholarships are towards Blockchain Developer, Project Management and Business Strategy courses resulting in Certifications from the Blockchain Certification Association.  Students on the winning team will be awarded their choice of programs and the balance of funding will go to other students of the winning University campus.
