Covesting, a company working in the blockchain and fintech sector announced it is forming an incorporated entity in Gibraltar. They believe it will help them to grow as Gibraltar has good financial and technological regulations, with many new blockchain related regulations  going into effect from January 2018.

Samantha Barrass, CEO of the Gibraltar Financial Commission said, “This regulatory framework demonstrates that regulators can keep up to date with technology without stifling innovation, protect consumers and create a well-regulated safe environment in which financial technology can flourish.”

Many countries are playing catch up when it comes to official regulations to deal with ICOs and cryptocurrencies. To startups, this might look like a very good opportunity to be working with no regulations, however, they see a risk in the future when legislation and regulations commence. In Gibraltar the Financial Services Commission are already viewing crypto currency positively with plans to regulate this industry are already in place.

Covesting CEO Dmitrij Pruglo stated,“As a fin-tech company, the biggest question that we face in the industry today is how individual countries will end up regulating cryptocurrency. The move to Gibraltar makes sense for Covesting as well as all our investors and users as we are removing a lot of uncertainty from the equation.”

Covesting recently launched their Pre-ICO and received over 1,000 different investors who invested 1,900 ETH in the first half of their Pre-ICO. Covesting provides unique opportunity to participate inPre-ICO and benefit from platform growth by purchasing COV tokens at a ignificant discount.
