Gamma targets €1.3M in revenue as it launches Storecast Sentry to UK retailers

Gamma, the leading location intelligence services provider in Ireland, today announces that it is launching its Storecast Sentry software platform in the UK and expects it to drive €1.3 million in recurring revenue by 2023.

Storecast Sentry can deliver a wide range of insights for businesses using maps and dashboards to analyse geographical market data. The cloud-based customisable platform gives access to dozens of spatial datasets and statistics including anonymised data on 3 billion annual credit card transactions, which translates to approximately 90% of all UK credit card spend.

The analytics platform enables retailers, distributors, sales teams and outdoor media owners to understand their brand performance, assess their store and site portfolios, measure omnichannel activity and plan their networks through the visualisation of data insights.

The platform has already been implemented in Ireland for customers across the retail, banking, grocery and outdoor advertising sectors, with projects for other sectors currently underway.

From discussing objectives and onboarding to 24/7 support, Gamma provides a full service to help businesses and retailers with their expansion, investment or divestment goals. The solution is designed for those with a physical store or site presence, as well as those retailers with online-only operations.

Having achieved success with its Storecast offering in Ireland, Gamma is now working with two of the top three financial institutions and four of the top 10 retailers. Gamma is also not resting on its laurels, setting its sights on growth within the UK market and is already working with a leading global financial services organisation therein.

Gamma, which has an office in Manchester in the UK, also has plans to expand beyond the UK and roll out its solutions in other markets over the next two years. To support these ambitions, the company will also be increasing its employee headcount over the next 12 months.

Jason Day, Head of Location Intelligence Solutions (EMEA), Gamma, said: “We help to solve spatial data challenges for organisations of all shapes and sizes. Using our experience and expertise, and driven by the best-in-class data, we are enabling and empowering businesses to make better-informed decisions around location – something which is more important than ever in the retail sector as the economy continues to open up and businesses look to recover following the pandemic.

“By supporting the evaluation and rightsizing of retail operations, Storecast Sentry has the power to reduce risk, protect investment and future-proof operations. Whether the aim is to determine which stores to close, open up more locations or attract more customers, this solution delivers invaluable insights and visualises location data to help drive innovation and growth in the sector.”

The location intelligence company has already built a presence in the UK, having launched its Perilfinder™ solution in the insurance market back in 2019. This platform helps underwriters to reduce their risk portfolio by better managing accumulation of polices and assessing hazards including flood, subsidence and crime.
