From the team behind European Games Week, Giga Bite Café will be a haven for gamers of all ages, from beginners, to families, to hardcore developers.
Reflecting the growing popularity of gaming and e-sports across the country, Ireland’s latest gaming café will have something for everyone including access to top-of-the-range technology and facilities.
What’s on Offer?
Gamers will have access to technology of the moment and firm fan favourites, including the latest arcade machines from Mini Arcade Systems, top-of-the-range gaming PCs, consoles and hardware from Next Level Gaming Van, as well as regular gaming tournaments and the opportunity to rent games. All gaming software has also been kindly provided by GameStop.
Overlooking the Mill Pond, the café will boast central seating areas and TV units to allow visitors to watch live tournaments and will provide space for local developers, professionals and hobbyists to create their own content.
The Giga Bite Lab will serve a range of delicious snacks and refreshments catering for every gamer’s needs.
Gaming Community Hub
In preparation for European Games Week at Croke Park from 17th-22nd September, the team wanted to support the local gaming community.
Graeme Moore, CEO and Co-Founder of European Games Week, said, “Giga Bite Café is Ireland’s first real gaming hub. We want to give Dublin’s gaming community a place to socialise, compete and develop and in working with Dundrum Town Centre and GameStop, we’ve created the coolest, most advanced and inclusive gaming café the country has ever seen.”
Don Nugent, General Manager of Dundrum Town Centre said; “At Dundrum Town Centre, we pride ourselves on being at the forefront of new technology, trends and experiences. We offer our customers a place to relax, unwind and discover new experiences as well as being the go-to destination for shopping. The Giga Bite Café taps into all of this and is an exciting addition to the leisure line up. We’re looking forward to welcoming the team to the Centre.”
