We will be looking at a few sets of Logitech headsets but this one grabbed everyone’s attention first. You can see more about their range of products here.
These headsets were popular around the office and with various people who popped them on and gave them a listen. There are a lot of good aspects to these headphones, and we have shared the technical specifications below. Before that there were a couple of anomalies that we figured could have been a little smoother to avoid a few bumps in the road – though to be fair, once these were resolved these are good, comfortable headsets with good sound quality.
To connect the headsets (wirelessly) to your laptop or PC you do need to insert the dongle into the side of your host machine. However the plugin does not come with a micro USB3 option, which is already going to be a bit annoying if you are using a newer generation device, Apple or otherwise, which no longer has the standard sized USB ports.
For a quality piece of kit like these headsets you would imagine that you are not going to have go scratching around to find a USB3 converter to be able to run these headphones. A bit like upmarket restaurants scrimping on the number of prawns you get into your dish, so too it seems a little mealy mouthed not to supply a USB3 plug in option?
The headsets do come with a nice travel bag, which is also actually quite important too, because, with only one, small dongle to ensure your headsets talk to your device, what happens if you lose that small moving part? Overall we liked the headsets though we also had some issues getting the mike to link up to our zoho calling software too. It also did not work with our smart phones either.
We know that it is for PCs, but in this day and age of often switching between devices, and bringing the headsets you are using with you, this is not an option with these headsets. Which does then mean you would need to be bringing two sets of headsets with you, one for the laptop and one for the phone. It would be preferable too seamlessly port over the same headsets wouldn’t it?
The headsets are solid, robust and should last well, though we do wonder what they might feel like if you are gaming for long long shifts at one time in terms of heat coming from your ears onto the headsets. These headsets should do well, but perhaps with a few minor tweaks it would make them even better and more user friendly? We will keep an eye out on future iterations and their range of capabilities.
