Fuelling Business Dreams Competition for Irish SMEs

FBD Insurance has launched its ‘Fuelling Business Dreams’ competition for 2027, giving 15 businesses across Ireland the opportunity to receive a marketing support package worth €30,000 each.

Representing a total investment of €450,000 in Irish SMEs, this initiative will provide each winning business with a fully funded, professionally crafted marketing campaign designed to raise their businesses profile, reach new customers and help bring their  business dreams and ambitions to life. The competition is open to both existing FBD customers and non-customers, from ambitious start-ups to established local businesses. Applications are open from 17th August until midday on Thursday, 15 October 2026.

Entrants are being invited to share the moments that have defined their business journey, from securing a first major client or growing their team to receiving exceptional customer feedback or reaching an important milestone. Businesses will also have the opportunity to outline their future ambitions and explain how a €30,000 marketing campaign could support their next stage of development.

Applications will be reviewed by a judging panel from across FBD Insurance, with 15 winning businesses selected to participate in the 2027 campaign.

Speaking about the launch, Nicola Ging, Senior Marketing Manager at FBD Insurance, said:

“Irish SMEs are at the heart of communities across the country. They create employment, deliver vital local services and bring energy, ambition and innovation to the Irish economy. Fuelling Business Dreams is about recognising that contribution and giving businesses practical support to take their next step.”

“Every business has defining moments and ambitions for the future. We want to hear those stories and give 15 businesses access to the creative expertise, marketing support and exposure that can help turn their ambitions into reality. Whether they are an FBD customer or not, we encourage businesses from every sector and region to apply.”

Fuelling Business Dreams has become an important part of FBD’s wider commitment to supporting the passion, resilience and entrepreneurial spirit of Irish SMEs. The initiative combines a nationwide competition with bespoke advertising campaigns for the winning businesses.

Each winner will work with marketing professionals to develop a tailored campaign, which may include creative content and targeted promotion across outdoor, radio, print and digital channels.

Reflecting on the impact of a previous Fuelling Business Dreams campaign, former winner Michael Lynders of Lynders Holiday Parks said:

“We applied because we wanted to increase awareness of our business and reach a wider audience. The campaign also offered a fantastic opportunity to showcase what we do and connect with potential new customers.”

Businesses can enter the Fuelling Business Dreams competition at https://www.fbd.ie/dreams .  Applications close at midday on Thursday, 15 October 2026.
