Join the Femtech Network and improve womens health in Ireland

Irish Femtech industries are to benefit from the launch of new Femtech initiative at Health Innovation Hub Ireland. HIHI a government of Ireland initiative puts the spotlight on the development of Femtech in Ireland. Femtech is a relatively new area of development bringing together the essential players in femtech development including entrepreneurs industry, clinical experts, research and business experts.

Join the Femtech Network and improve womens health in Ireland

The Aim of Femtech @Health Innovation Hub Ireland is that it will stimulate and support the development of new products, services and start-ups in Femtech. These solutions will impact the health and wellbeing of up to 50% of our population, create an Irish Femtech focus and build an ecosystem of experts and entrepreneurs supporting, driving and innovating in Femtech. Femtech @Health Innovation Hub Ireland will also support the drive for more female founders and attract more investors to Ireland.

If you look in the media today there has been a significant focus on women’s health issues, menopause, endometriosis, fertility and female specific cancers. There is now a huge opportunity to develop this space as the hub created a community of enablers which will help identify Ireland as a leading Femtech technology development area in Europe, attracting FDI  creating jobs and ultimately impacting the health and wellbeing of women.

Companies already in this area are Atlantic Therapeutics which deals with stress urinary incontinence, IdentifyHer – Perimenopause symptom tracking, Aveta Medical addressing vaginal atrophy to name but a few.

Dr. Tanya Mulcahy, Director of Health Innovation Hub Ireland and Femtech lead and champion. “Developing solutions to address women’s health requires clinicians, researchers, industry and the general population to work together. We invite tech start-ups, industries, investors and anyone interested in driving Femtech to join our network where we can work together in this unique ecosystem. Join the network now. https://hih.ie/engage/femtech/
