Facebook Launches FB Techwire For Journalists

This article originally appeared on 60 Second Social.

Facebook has launched its own page called FB Techwire, a resource for tech journalists that will surface breaking tech news, debates and other events to the users news feed in real-time. The move comes following the success of FB Newswire which launched several months ago and currently has 88,000+ likes.

FB Techwire is being powered by Storyful and will feature embeddable content which journalists can use for their own articles and content. Content is also going to be distributed via Twitter using a dedicated account.

Twitter has become a massive resource when it comes to delivering breaking news in real-time and clearly Facebook is trying to find an answer. Personally I would still not search or look on Facebook for breaking news however for us tech journalists using Facebook this is certainly a resource worth checking out.
