When and where is it on?
Arctic 15 is on June 5-6, Cable Factory, Helsinki Finland, the largest cultural center in Finland. Once an industrial complex producing cables, the center now offers things to see, do and experience every day of the week for culturally inspired people of all ages.
How many years has it been going?
This is already our 8th edition.
What was the inspiration to start it?
When we inherited ArcticStartup and Arctic15, we wanted to change things around. One day we sat down for a brainstorming day and asked ourselves “how can we make everything different” about an event? This led to many new things: The Deal Room, speed-dating sessions, workshops, demo stand posters, training E-Mails, and much more.
Over the years, we have seen many other events adopt these ideas and we could not be happier about it – as we believe that events are at the heart of business and entrepreneurship. Be it startup events, professional fairs, small networking breakfasts – events bring people together. People do business. The logic is simple.
What we saw is that there was an opportunity to take this to the next level by solely focusing on quality matchmaking and networking and that is how the current vision of Arctic15 was born. Quality matchmaking and real deals – no matter the cost.
Today, Arctic15 is a startup business event which gathers 1500-2000 attendees every year. This year we aim for 300+ investors, 450+ startups, 150+ corporates, a maximum of 2000 attendees and again – the name of the game will be “Deal Room”. This is a unique matchmaking solution that makes it easy & efficient for you to meet as many relevant investors or potential clients as you can.
P.S. The name comes from the fact that originally it started out as a pitching competition that was gathering the TOP 15 startups from the Nordic and Baltic region. The competition is still up and running but it has changed its form into Funding Program. It focuses on connecting angel investors to successful startups from the region to negotiate cross-border syndicate investments.
In the past 5 years, the number of corporates investing in startups has doubled & the value of these deals has reached $110B. Join the CVC track powered by @HBH_HQ & dive deep into the world of corporate venturing.

What opportunities are on offer for those attending Arctic15?
Arctic15 is famous for being all about efficient networking and Deal Room is where the magic happens.

There they can find relevant business contacts, pre-book meetings well in advance and have efficient 20-minutes long meetings on the spot. 40% of meetings in the Deal Room lead to real deals.
Who will be speaking?
This year top names are:
– Scott Sandell, one of only four investors named to the Forbes Midas List every year since 2007, with 24 technology companies in his portfolio having successfully completed public offerings or mergers.
– Tommy Palm, the spokesperson and Games Guru of Candy Crush Saga maker King Digital Entertainment, where he helped lead the company to its IPO at a $7B valuation.
– Adeo Ressi, CEO of the Founder Institute, a pre-seed startup accelerator that operates in nearly 200 cities worldwide.
