When and where is it on?

Dublin Castle, September 15th.Proceedings kick off at 9 am and the after party starts at 6 pm

How many years has it been going?

This is the first year for this event.

What was the inspiration to start it?

In short, I have built the event I wish was there for me when I was starting out in business. I found that there was too much sugarcoating in the start-up events world and wanted to offer young entrepreneurs practical/implementable advice and strong connections/partnerships moving forward. I also felt a lot of events in this space were intimidating and too large. We have kept the attendees to 500 to ensure no one gets lost in the crowd.

What exciting things can people look forward to?

Over the course of the day, attendees will be inspired through keynotes and panel discussions from some of Ireland’s most successful business people. They will also learn through workshops focusing on delivering best-in-class advice for starting and growing their business. I have also made sure they are supported through one to one advice from our 20 exhibiting experts across an array of services, such as accounting, taxation, marketing, sales, PR and more.

What opportunities are on offer for those attending?

The opportunity to learn from and directly ask questions from some of Ireland’s top business leaders. Entrepreneurs will learn about the supports they require to help build their business from the ground up. Attendees will also get the chance to build valuable connections with both other attendees and event partners.

Who will be speaking?

There is an amazing line-up of Ireland’s best entrepreneurs across a wide range of industries. Keynotes are from Ray Nolan (Founder/CEO of ExSellco formerly of hostelworld and Skyscanner), Jacquie Marsh (Former MD of The Butler’s pantry) and Pat Falvey (Adventurer, climbed Mount Everest twice!). Other notable speakers across the panel discussions are Shane Curran (18-year-old tech entrepreneur), Pat Phelan (Trustev) and Ailbhe Keane (Izzy Wheels).

What tips would you give to people attending to get the most out of it?

Get in early! Prepare some questions you want to get answered across the course of the day and make the most of the valuable networking opportunities.

How can people book tickets / when does it usually sell out?

People can book tickets directly from our website – www.thestartsummit.com . We expect the event to sell out later this week.
