The future is… vegan!
European Vegan Summit 2023 (19-21 September, online) one of this kind global event where politicians, scientists and businesspersons and activists can meet to talk about rights to live of all sentient beings – human and non-human. Collaborations with global experts of just transition of food system are imperative for Green REV Institute. We believe we can jointly fix #brokenfoodsystem.
European Vegan Summit 2023
Green REV Institute created a virtual space, where they outspokenly talked about dangers caused by the current food system and animal agriculture. Making space where experts from variaous fields will be able to discuss possibilities of fixing the food system and building a new future for animals, people and our planet.
This year’s European Vegan Summit, organized by Green REV Institute, opens with a plenary session “The Future Is…”to which we invited experts and global activists from around the world. They will share their strategy for saving the future.

Dr Anita Krajnc is a founder of Toronto Pig Save and Executive Director of Animal Save Movement. She is also coordinator of global campaigns and projects, for example Plant Based Treaty. She received a doctorate of political science from the University of Toronto and she is lecturer at Queen’s University. She led a lot of university courses about tactics and strategy social movement. Plant Based Treaty will set the direction of food system transition today. The Treaty has been already accepted by local governments in United Kingdom and is based to renegotiate the food system and restore wildlife and biodiversity.
Dr Krista Hiddema is a philanthropist, academic activist and a public speaker. She is also eco-feminist and above all she is experienced in working for animal rights organizations. For many years she had been working with Mercy for Animals – an international non-profit organization which handles farmed animal rights. She is also responsible for exposing the truth about conditions of industrial farming. Her discoveries had been a point of return for farmed animals and led to five expose on CTV’s W5 and CBC Marketplace, and also on many different programs.
Jasmijn de Boo is an activist who promotes plant based diet, fights for animals and is also a professional educator. For 12 years she worked at managerial positions all around the world. Currently she’s a CEO of ProVeg International, Co-president of The European Alliance for Plant-based Foods (EAPF) and a Board Member of European Vegetarian Union (EVU).
Oliwia Myczkowska is an activist for Green REV Institute and Youth Strike for Climate, graduate of Green Advocacy Academy. She’s responsible for organizing events such as TEDx III Mickiewicz School Conference and School Climate conference. She’s also a founder of NO PAIN IN YOUR BRAIN initiative.
“I believe that EVS 2023 is an event that initiates crucial, substantive discussions on ethics, social awareness, consequences of the current system and its challenges. I’d like to share my experiences as a young activist and encourage people to reflect and convince them that it’s worth to act on important issues. The event is under the patronage of the European Parliament and organized in partnership with The Vegan Society – the first ever vegan and vegetarian institution and also Abillion – a vegan app which helps to find plant based places all around the world.
