How many years has it been going?

A new iteration of Dublin Games from 2018 (2 Years)

What was the inspiration to start it?

It was a drive to create something that could last in a field that I have loved since a child (gaming). The ability to make people smile is the best gift from running events like these.

What exciting things can people look forward to?

Summit – The top speakers and organisations in the world of video games all giving out their knowledge to attendee’s and industry experts across 4 rooms of talks (Game Dev, Current & Future Trends, Esports & Diversity & Arts), 2 workshop rooms hosting 3 talks in each room for hands on experience with industry experts across multiple fields. Multiple networking opportunities.

Weekly Events – Time to unwind and enjoy what Dublin has to offer. Multiple evening events (industry night, game awards & after-parties) at the newly opened The Well at Stephens Green. Educational days for all ages and a Dublin City Pub Crawl hosted by the voice actors from Resident Evil 2 Remake (Jolene Andersen, Nick Apostolides & Stephanie Panisello).7

Festival – Hosting Irelands largest fortnite event, esports, Hado, Content Creators such as Wizzette and others from around Europe, retail, cosplay and VR, Family run events

To engage with the gaming community and be a part of growing the Irish gaming scene

Who will be speaking?

We have over 60 speakers – please download Attendify and use code EGS2019 for access (also available at www.europeangamesweek.com/speakers.

Our current speakers, are coming from all over the world to network, interact and engage with you. EGW’s speakers either come from or have history in some of the top companies in the world such as Blizzard, Fnatic, CD Projekt Red, Atari, Digit, Gfinity, Square Enix, Kickstarter, Firaxis and more. More speakers will be announced shortly

What tips would you give to people attending to get the most out of it?

Engage with fellow attendee’s, attend a workshop and learn something new, have fun

Through our website at www.europeangamesweek.com/tickets, last year we sold out with 2 weeks to go
