So, what are the real benefits of these features?

Every section within Eso is protected with end-to-end encryption and your private key and pin code. That means you have a secure space to save your passwords or other private keys. You can add a new password and in future simply press “copy” to copy it to your clipboard to login to each service. You will no longer need to keep a text file or try to remember all your passwords (often resulting in using the same password everywhere). You can create truly unique passwords and store them in Eso where nobody is ever going to find them.

It’s not only about passwords, that’s just one great application.

You can save any text you like in Eso. Copy and paste it from anywhere. Once it’s pasted inside Eso, it’s completely protected by multiple layers of encryption, and it’s secured on the Eso blockchain where it can’t be hacked or deleted. You are now safe to use an online service to store your most important data without relying on a central server such as a web host or “the cloud”.

Once you’ve got the text sitting safely inside Eso, you can choose to give another user access to that section. If you do, they will only have access to that specific space, not to any of your other data. You can give access to text files, passwords, chat, calendars, task lists and more.

Our solution for fully encrypted and decentralised chat is unlike any other. Once adding a friend to your contacts list, you can commence a private messaging session with them. You can also create groups and invite multiple contacts. Eso is 100% decentralised with no central server storing data at any stage. You type your message and press “send”. Your device connects with the Eso blockchain to request your recipient’s public key, which is used to encrypt the message. The encrypted message is then sent to the blockchain, and the recipient receives the encrypted text, and uses their private key to decrypt it. This process is repeated for every message, from any chat participant. At no time is any unencrypted text accessible outside of the user’s device.

The chat process is similar to the process for all shared tools such as the meeting minutes, task manager, private agreements and corporate voting. All communication goes back and forth to the Eso blockchain, fully encrypted.

Then we have the ESOS wallet. This is a crypto wallet allowing all users to send and receive ESOS tokens without the need for ETH balance as gas. A unique function of the ESOS token covers the gas by splitting the transaction into fees (to us) and the balance goes to the recipient.

Users can purchase ESOS tokens via IAP (in-app purchase) or other fiat payment methods such as Paypal, and then send those tokens to other users, redeem them for Eso tools and services (purchase credits) or just “hodl” them for later. The ESOS wallet within Eso gives the user their own private key. We do not have access to the private key. The user can copy the private key easily from Eso and use it to login to MyEtherWallet or other personal Ethereum wallets, where they can send or receive any ERC20 token. The Eso wallet only allows sending and receiving of ESOS tokens.

Let’s take a quick look at another feature?—?private agreements. You can create a basic text agreement within Eso, and add contacts to it. You might create an agreement with your employer, that you agree to a bonus if you hit your targets. You’d create the agreement, add your employer and you would both press “accept”. This is secured on the Eso blockchain. There is no disputing that you both agreed, and given the security required to use an Eso account, there’s no disputing exactly who agreed. You can also export the agreement to a PDF if you choose to, and print for a hard copy. Not only is it useful to have an agreement in place, all agreements involving you will be easily accessible within your Eso app for your future reference. Eso agreements don’t always have to be based around employment or professional services?—?you could just as easily create an agreement with a friend about anything you choose.

A user could easily add a contact, form an agreement, and exchange funds via the Eso app, with absolutely no exposure to the outside world. Nobody can access your Eso data, not even us.

Then there’s corporate voting. Eso is designed to be a very private platform. It is not designed for creating public polls for thousands of votes. It’s not designed to record public opinion. Eso polls are designed to be very exclusive and private, featuring a handful of connected voters.

Each poll is secured on the Eso blockchain fully encrypted. It is ideal for corporate voting such as appointing directors, or just voting on everyday processes. Creating the poll and adding respondents will be a very simple process. Once a user votes, the vote cannot be changed. A truly confidential vote, fully encrypted and inaccessible to the outside world.

Another feature worth mentioning is the Eso Announcement Channel. It functions in much the same way as a private group chat, however, only the channel creator can post. All other users can only view, and all other users are not visible to each other. An official team would create a channel, and all viewers are 100% confident that all posts in that channel are genuine. Eso Announcement Channels are ideal for posting important news such as an official contribution address for an ICO, or even posting official team Eso usernames for private chats or agreements.

Eso will be made completely open source upon launch, so anyone can dig through the code and make sure it does what we say it does, nothing less and nothing more. We understand this is critically important when dealing with sensitive data.
