ESB PowerCheck

I recently came across an app from the Electricity Supply Board called PowerCheck. This is a free app available on the App Store here and on Google Play here . It allows ESB customers a nationwide view of current and planned service interruptions by simply choosing the ‘Map’ section-

Then tap on a pin that interests you and you will see the relevant information-

Users can also click the ‘PowerCheck-List’ option, enter your local area and any interruptions will also be listed here.

Under the Safety Information tab you will find some basic but handy tips.

If you are experiencing a power outage but do not see your area as having a problem you can use the Contact Details tab to report the problem.

While not an app that one would use every day, personally I think this is one of those apps that could one day come in very handy! hence I have it downloaded to my ‘Utilities’ folder for a just in case scenario.
