Envisage Cloud, Ireland’s largest Sage systems integrator and software developer, today announces that it has designed and implemented a new cloud-based financial system for the Dalata Hotel Group in a €200,000 deal.
The new solutions includes bespoke software and Sage 200cloud, which unified Dalata’s financial systems across all 39 hotels in the group making it easier to manage payments and finances across the entire business.
Dalata is Ireland’s largest hotel operator, with 39 three and four-star hotels. It successfully manages Ireland’s two largest hotel brands, the Clayton and the Maldron Hotels, which are located across Ireland and the UK. The group has undergone rapid growth and will open at least eight more hotels across Ireland and the UK by the end of 2021, including two more in Ireland this year.
To facilitate Dalata’s ambitious growth plans, the company needed to update its financial operations and supplier payment system and processing. Until the new solution was introduced, each hotel in the group used individual accounts applications, which resulted in a lack of access and increased audit costs.
Envisage Cloud developed a customised supplier payments system for Dalata which automates and manages payments, enabling the business to run faster and better. It has delivered a 60% reduction in the time spent processing supplier payments to date, giving the finance team more time to actively analyse financial reports. Since the new consolidated system was introduced, the entire process has been streamlined, transforming the efficiencies of Dalata’s financial operation.
One of the additional benefits of the Sage 200cloud solution is that the group’s financial reporting can now be managed using a single application which can be accessed remotely. The new system also provides additional layers of security and helps protect against bank fraud and strengthen Dalata’s corporate governance.
Other benefits include improved reporting for the entire group, and facilitating and reducing the need for Dalata’s investment in server equipment and maintenance in each location.
Edel Conran, Finance Project Manager, Dalata Hotel Group, said: “The new financial system that Envisage Cloud has designed and implemented, on time and within budget, has exceeded our expectations. The new solution has streamlined the financial management of the group, resulting in improved productivity.
“Another big benefit of the new system is that our finance team now have remote access to the system, removing the need to travel between hotels. This also allows us to improve efficiencies and reduce costs in our internal audit team as we can do most of the preparation work in advance.”
Peter Bergin, managing director, Envisage Cloud added: “Envisage Cloud has extensive experience in successfully implementing process automation projects and Sage 200cloud. Our knowledge of how to automate business processes enables our customers’ business to be more profitable due to faster and better functionality. With over 400 completed automation projects, we know how to connect and automate business processes including financial systems, transforming our clients into higher performing enterprises.
“As Ireland’s largest hotel operator, Dalata needed a more streamlined financial solution. Our bespoke system has enabled the group to simplify its financial processing increasing efficiencies in the business.”
