eir has today introduced 5G Broadband, a new 5G fixed-mobile substitution (FMS) product. 5G Broadband is a wireless broadband connection that uses your mobile network signal to connect to the internet. It is a solution for homes and businesses that cannot yet access high speed wired broadband.
Susan Brady, eir’s Managing Director of Consumer & Small Business “The pandemic has underscored the fact that reliable, fast connectivity is essential to all of our lives now. In eir we have a deep awareness of the importance of that connectivity therefore we are working to deliver more solutions to meet the varying connectivity needs of people and businesses throughout Ireland and 5G is enabling us to deliver more.
We began building Ireland’s largest 5G network in 2019, today more than 57% of the population can access that network, across every county in Ireland. 5G technology can keep us connected, at home, at work and on the go. In areas where fibre broadband is not yet available this product can provide a real alternative. eir’s 5G mobile network can support increasingly diverse applications and this product offers our fastest ever mobile broadband with no limits data.”
Customers can connect up to 20 devices within their home to the device, meaning busy homes will be able to download music, games and HD videos in seconds, while hosting video conferences, on multiple devices simultaneously. eir’s 5G Broadband comes with No Limits Data and offers the advantage of mobile connectivity, whether travelling for work or holidaying across Ireland, this solution provides reliable, instant connectivity. Set up is simple, plug it in and the benefits are delivered immediately.
