Daniel, now 33, started building businesses 13 years ago.

He grew up in the south of Germany, close to the famous Black Forrest. At age 20, he went on a three month road trip through the US and fell in love with the country. He then decided to cancel his plans to go to college in Germany and move to the west coast instead.

It was a really spontaneous decision to move to the states 2 weeks before I was about to go to business school in Germany. At that point I didn’t know a single person in the US and had no idea how to make my way through life in California. But I remember being on that plane with a big smile on my face, being 100% sure that I could trust my intuition.

Living in California for 3 years really opened my eyes to the world of entrepreneurship for the first time. Everyone I met there was building something, which really inspired me. It was at that point I decided I would never work for someone else again and I would be my own boss going forward.

After building his first successful startup – a nonprofit in the states – Daniel started traveling the world, launching several business ventures in diverse industries. When he recognized the massive potential to scale physical product brands [at record speed] using Amazon’s marketplace and fulfillment services he redirected his focus and made Amazon a priority.

I realized very quickly that I needed to focus 100% on Amazon, to leverage its consumer base and logistic solutions. There are millions of people shopping on Amazon daily who are at the end of the sales cycle and don’t need to be convinced via expensive marketing campaigns.

They already know what they want, otherwise, they wouldn’t be on the platform. Capitalizing on this really boils down to having a thorough understanding of how Amazon ranks products, allowing you to optimize the listing so that millions of potential customers can see it. Combine that with high-quality products and conversion-optimized texts and images, and you’ve got yourself a winning business.
