Do you have a PDF file full of tables that needs to be converted into an Excel spreadsheet? Nothing worse than having to start from a fresh Excel sheet and manually copy the data over, format it and get it looking presentable. It would be a lot easier if you could just quickly convert the PDF to Excel without all the boring work.
The data is there, you have the tables in the PDF file so why go through all the pain when you just want to transfer it to a new file? PDF to Excel App from Cometdocs allows you to convert PDF tables into Excel spreadsheets on your iPad and iPhone.
Some of the features include:
After you download and open the app you are presented with a simple and clean interface. You can convert files for free which are directly stored on your iPhone.
You can also purchase the linked services feature to easily convert files which are stored in your online services directly within the app. This costs just €1.99 and allows you to convert from services such as Gmail right within the app with just one tap.
When you go to convert your first file you will be prompted to pay for faster conversion speeds. You can elect to stay with the free option and wait for the app to convert which will take between 1h – 1.5h or the upgrade cost which is €5.99
What I would have found helpful here is if the app had some kind of indication on how much faster it is if I pay for the upgrade. Faster conversions at a price are fine and I have no issue with the costs, at the end of the day developers need to eat too!
However it would be beneficial to know how much faster the conversion is when you upgrade and it may also compel more people to buy the upgrade. I decided to wait for the conversion to finish, it was only a small file however it did take an hour none the less to convert.
The app does what it says on the tin, if you have lots of PDF files with tables and you need them on Excel sheets then this could be the best solution for you to get it done quickly and easily. The app takes the table and the data and simply throws it back up onto an Excel sheet for you to use.
There is no fuss, no complication, it is simple and straight forward to use which I like. It is also a very resource light app, as I mentioned that I was waiting for around an hour for the file to convert – there was no battery drain in this time.
If you want a quick and easy way to convert PDF to Excel you can download the app from iTunes today at the link below.
