Dyson Launch New Range of Cordless Vacuums

Dyson have announced the launch of a new range of cordless vacuums to the Irish market. The new vacuums use the Dyson Digital Motor V6 which Dyson claims produces more suction than any other stick vacuum on the market.

Commenting on the motors, James Dyson said, ‘We’ve invested more than €343m in developing our own patented motor which spins at up to 110,000 rpm. The power-density that this provides means our machines remain nimble while providing more power than any other’.

Within the new range there are five cordless machines. At the top of the range sit the Dyson V6 Absolute and Dyson V6 Fluffy. These machines include redesigned cleaner heads that focus on tackling ground-in dirt and debris on hard and carpet floors.

Rather than strips of hard bristles, Dyson V6 Fluffy has a full width roller covered with soft nylon material and rows of carbon fibre filaments. The machine can also suck up 1kg of sugar in 4 seconds!

The Dyson V6 Absolute direct-drive cleaner head has 150% more brush bar power while filtration removes 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns.

Battery life is stated as 20 minutes without the motorised cleaning head and 16 minutes with it attached. We have an older model DC35 in the office, which has a similar stated battery life but we usually get around 25 minutes from the battery.

A summary of the different models and their prices is below and more details can be found at https://www.dyson.ie/
