Irish wellness startup Awaken Botanical has officially launched Dúlra, the world’s first AI-powered natural wellness coach, bringing personalised herbal knowledge and holistic health guidance to people everywhere, 24/7.
For centuries, herbal wisdom has been scattered across cultures, books, and traditions — often out of reach when people need it most. Dúlra changes that. Accessible through the new Awaken Botanical app, Dúlra offers expert guidance, personalised recommendations, and real-time support, making natural wellness easier and more accessible than ever before.
“This is about empowering people,” says Denis Queally, founder of Awaken Botanical. “For nearly a decade, I’ve studied, created, and shared the healing power of plants. I spent countless late nights building Dúlra because I wanted to make that wisdom available to everyone, instantly, everywhere. Dúlra is not just AI — she’s your personal wellness companion.”
Provide expert herbal and natural health guidance
Offer personalised advice and supplement recommendations
Talk and listen for real-time conversations
Learn with you, remembering your wellness journey
Support in-store supplement decision making
Wearable integration for real-time health analytics and insights
Foraging Mode — identify and safely forage medicinal plants in the wild using your phone’s camera
“AI is transforming healthcare, but much of the focus has been clinical or pharmaceutical,” Denis adds. “With Dúlra, we’re showing the world that nature and technology can work together to empower people to take control of their health naturally.”
The Awaken Botanical app is now live and available for download.

Awaken Botanical is a premium Irish wellness company on a mission to make natural healing accessible for everyone. Rooted in herbal expertise and powered by technology, the company develops innovative products and platforms that combine ancient wisdom with modern science.
App Availability
Right now, Dúlra is available via the Awaken Botanical web app at www.awaken-botanical.com, with full access through desktop and mobile browsers. We’re finalising the native versions for both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store — which will be live over the coming weeks. I’ll be happy to keep you updated the moment those go live.
Cost / Pricing
At launch, Dúlra is free to use. The goal is accessibility — giving everyone, everywhere 24/7 access to natural health knowledge and guidance. Longer-term, we’ll be introducing premium features such as wearable integrations and advanced personalisation, but the core of Dúlra will remain free.
Foraging Safety Precautions
The foraging mode is being carefully developed with multiple layers of safety built in. For example:
Dúlra will never give a single confirmation on mushrooms or other potentially toxic plants. Instead, she will provide probability-based identification along with strong safety disclaimers.
She will always prompt users to double-check with expert sources before consuming anything foraged.
The goal of foraging mode is to be educational first — helping people learn and recognise — rather than encouraging immediate consumption.
To strengthen safety, we’re also working on integrating a plant identification API alongside Dúlra’s own database. This ensures users get multi-source verification when identifying plants, adding another safeguard — especially with higher-risk categories like mushrooms. The combination of AI recognition, cross-referenced plant ID technology, and strong safety disclaimers creates a much more reliable system.
Denis Queally, founder of Awaken Botanical, is based in Urlingford, County Kilkenny. A father of four, Denis has dedicated nearly a decade to studying, creating, and sharing the healing power of plants. With a passion for natural health and countless late nights building Dúlra, he has turned a vision into reality: making natural wellness accessible to everyone, everywhere, 24/7.
