New Irish Initiative To Pioneer Education, Technology and Research in Space
Today at Dublin Tech Summit, an exciting new initiative was launched to promote education, technology, and research in space. Dr. Norah Patten, a leading aeronautical engineer and STEM advocate from Ballina, Co. Mayo, Ireland, is on a mission to become the first Irish woman to travel to space and aims to inspire the next generation of Irish space explorers and researchers. She seeks investors or brands in the science, technology, engineering and STEM space to come on board and sponsor this historic mission and help secure her spot on a spaceflight.
This pioneering mission is creating a unique opportunity for Irish businesses and research institutions to collaborate and develop innovative research projects that can be conducted in space while demonstrating their commitment to innovation in technology.
Norah’s vision is to inspire the next generation of Irish space explorers and researchers by showcasing the limitless potential of space exploration. As an Irish mission, this initiative aims to elevate Ireland’s position in the global space industry and create a culture of innovation and scientific curiosity that will lead future generations.
Sponsoring Dr. Patten’s spaceflight offers investors an opportunity to support research with potential benefits and impact for people here on Earth and for future space explorers. Dr. Patten’s mission is an all-Ireland mission, which will bring the country along to experience human spaceflight and all it has to offer.
As part of the overall mission, Norah is developing a solid educational component to engage teachers, educators, and students of various ages. Dr. Patten’s team is also planning several competitions to engage the public and generate interest and support, such as ‘Mission Patch Design’ and ‘Name the Mission.’ There are varying different levels that brands / investors can get involved at with four different levels of sponsorship – Gold, Silver, Bronze and Introductory options.
