Domino’s is celebrating the introduction of GPS tracking, which shows the location of your driver from store to door, by touring Ireland with a Domi-Pin; a giant GPS pin, and giving away hundreds of pizzas. From Monday, 25 February to Friday, 1 March people who spot the Domi-Pin will win one of the new Catalan Chicken & Chorizo pizzas on the spot.
The four-foot-high Domi-Pin will be appearing around Ireland with the Domino’s team giving away hundreds of pizzas to pizza lovers up and down the country. The Domino’s GPS team will be found at the Domino’s stores in Citywest, Tuesday, 26 February, Athlone, Wednesday, 27 February, Letterkenny, Thursday, 28 February and Galway, Friday, 1 March from 2 pm to 4 pm. The first 100 Domino’s fans at each location need only spot the pin and approach the team to win a personal Catalan Chicken & Chorizo pizza. Pizza fans who spot and share or repost a picture on Twitter using the #DominosGPS hashtag and tag @Dominos_ROI will also be in with a chance to win a Catalan Chicken & Chorizo pizza.
The GPS tracker is the latest tech innovation from the world’s number one pizzamaker and is the first of its kind in Ireland and makes the customer experience of the pizza tracker the best it’s ever been, as now customers can track their pizzas from their order to the oven and the store to their front door. The Domino’s pizza tracker opens to a live map at the delivery stage, so you can follow your driver’s progress right up until your doorbell rings. There’s even a delivery time countdown so party planners can truly prepare for the precise arrival of their freshly handmade pizzas, and know when to pause the telly, pour their drinks or set the drums rolling for Domino’s grand arrival.
GPS tracking is now available in stores across the Republic of Ireland and coincides with the launch of Domino’s new Catalan Chicken & Chorizo pizzas, a rich, hearty full-flavoured pizza starring a Mediterranean-inspired flavour combination that’s well known and loved. The Catalan Chicken & Chorizo pizza is the latest food innovation from Domino’s and comes with a double portion of Catalan-style pulled chicken, chorizo, onions and peppers topped with a drizzle of sour cream and paprika sauce. It follows the recent menu additions of the Delight Chicken and Delight Vegi containing around 100kcal per slice, and the mind-blowing mash-up of the new Cheeseburger, which hit 1 million sales in just over two months.
Jason Prescott, Head of Operations Development at Domino’s, said: “We know what our customers want and tracking their pizzas from the oven to their door is our latest invention to satisfy our pizza-loving fans. No one understands more than us, the sheer panic of losing sight of your pizza once it leaves the store and drops off the pizza tracker. Panic no more as the introduction of GPS delivery means you’ll be able to see your driver stop at every traffic light, turn every corner and arrive at your front door. You can even save the dog from barking at the doorbell, as you’ll know Domino’s is at your door before they do!”
GPS Delivery is now available in the Republic of Ireland. For more information visit www.dominos.ie.
