The Digital Marketing Institute (DMI) have announced that it has signed a strategic partnership with EXIN, the leading global independent certification institute for ICT professionals.

The partnership will see EXIN offer the DMI’s professional certifications through its network of over 1,000 accredited partners worldwide and opens up significant new opportunities for the DMI, which has already certified over 15,000 professionals across 80 countries.

Ian Dodson, fo-Founder and director of the Digital Marketing Institute, said: “This partnership reflects the global demand for training in digital marketing and digital selling and the relevance of the DMI’s certification standards for professionals, educators and industry. EXIN’s global reputation and decades of experience in examination and professional certification make it the ideal partner for the DMI and we are excited to be working with them to roll out our training to their extensive network.”

EXIN offers internationally recognised certification programs that cover all ICT competence areas, as derived from the internationally recognised e-Competence Framework (e-CF). The e-CF became a European Standard in 2016 which automatically “carries” with it the obligation for member countries to adopt it as a national standard.

Bernd Taselaar, CEO of EXIN, said: “The importance of digital marketing has grown enormously in recent years, as online becomes the standard way of reaching large audiences. This has led to the recent recognition of digital marketing as one of the 40 e-competences in the e-Competence Framework. EXIN is committed to developing the competences of professionals across the entire spectrum of the ICT industry and so extending our portfolio to include certification in this area is a logical step.”

Taselaar welcomed the opportunity to work with the DMI in this area: “DMI has firmly established itself as the leading authority in digital marketing and this strategic partnership will enable us to offer internationally recognised certification in digital marketing to our partners.”

Michael Goeden, Director of Strategic Partnerships at the Digital Marketing Institute, said: “Our decision to partner with EXIN was driven by our desire to work with the very best training and examination bodies in the ICT and digital space, and those who have a strong global network of accredited partners. EXIN certainly hits the mark.”

The Digital Marketing Institute was founded in 2008 by Irish entrepreneurs Ian Dodson and Anthony Quigley. Strong international growth in recent years has resulted in it producing the most widely taught digital marketing certification in the world. Its diploma, degree and masters level certifications are delivered through a global network of education partner institutions, in workplaces via corporate clients and directly via online learning.
