Dell Technologies has unveiled updates to its XPS line with the refreshed XPS 15 and XPS 17.

Both featuring 12th Gen Intel Core H-Series processors, the new XPS laptops bring together elegant designs and premium experiences to enhance the user experience in creative and business tasks. Here are the latest updates.

XPS 15

Dell XPS 15 9000 Series (Model 9510) touch notebook computer, codename Fiorano TGL.

The XPS 15 is the perfect balance of power and portability with an unrivalled immersive visual experience. Whether it’s streaming, editing photos, the XPS 15 has been designed to move ideas into reality.

Thanks to the i5 processor, 512GB SSD and 16GB memory for discrete graphics recommended for music production, graphic design or videography, this XPS has been carefully selected for those who aspire to cultivate their digital content creation skills.

The new XPS 15 is an evolved, modern design for XPS. The display allows for added pixels, designed to make users more productive. It features a DDR5 memory, which is up to 50% faster clock speed than DDR4 memory.

The XPS 15 is cut from a block of aluminium in two pieces, with durability in mind. Corning Gorilla Glass 6 is bonded to the aluminium and is tough, damage-resistant, durable and elegant.

Through its aerospace-inspired carbon fibre, the new XPS 15 delivers high performance in a thin design thanks in part to thermal engineering.

Along with dual fans and heat pipes, hidden exhaust vents in the hinge help with airflow and a slight ramp aid in lifting more heat out.

XPS 17

Dell XPS 17 9000 Series (Model 9710) touch notebook computer, codename Stradale TGL MLK

The XPS 17 is Dell’s most powerful XPS yet, delivering unprecedented performance (90W) in an incredibly thin (19.5mm) form factor.

The 16:10 display provides high brightness, improved clarity, precise detail and vivid colour.

By maximising experiential elements, such as a bigger display, larger keycaps and a larger touchpad, the design puts a focus on elevating the essential.

The streamlined keyboard design embeds a fingerprint reader in the power button.

Keycaps are large with less lattice and the touchpad is a massive 151 x 90, stretching the usable area to the outer limits.

The twin-coil press fit hinge is designed to maximise the screen to body ratio and enable 4- sided InfinityEdge.

When it comes to sound, high-speed laser-drilled 7,622 holes support two primary up-firing speakers, plus two traditional tweeters in the base.

The quad speaker design enables a more immersive audio experience and discrete Waves Nx 3D audio experience only offered before through headphones.

Top-mounted mics provide a better audio experience in Skype conference calls with echo cancellation and noise reduction.

Additionally, Waves MaxxVoice – a suite of studio-quality voice optimisations – is engineered to match the quality of face-to-face communication for clear and uninterrupted voice conferencing.

Dell Performance

With Dell Performance integrated into both devices, users can customize performance based on how they want their laptop to operate, including adjusting system behaviours based on a preference between quiet, performance, cool and optimised modes.

Pricing & Availability

Both the XPS 15 and XPS 17 will be available on March 29th with pricing to be unveiled upon launch.
