This is where it all began – dorm room 2713: pictured are Paddy Cosgrave, Founder of Web Summit, and Dell’s President of EMEA, Aongus Hegarty
Dell has urged start-ups attending the Web Summit this year to benefit from a number of sessions it will run during the event to provide counsel on business strategy and the deployment of technology to entrepreneurs attending from across the globe.
Dell will have a lounge reminiscent of the university dorm room where the company was started by Michael Dell in 1984 onsite which will be home to a series of Interactive events including a ‘Pitch Perfect’ coaching session, where senior Dell executives will impart their expertise and provide feedback and advice for the 200 startups shortlisted to take part in the Summit’s official pitch competition.
In addition, workshops on a range of topics relevant to entrepreneurs, including how to manage customer segmentation and how to scale a company for growth, will be offered throughout the course of the Summit, with members of the Dell team on-hand to provide business and technology consulting to attendees.
Dell recently announced that it has signed on as an official partner for Web Summit 2014, taking place in Dublin from November 4th – 6th.
