Dell Technologies Supports Vital Services at Enable Ireland Children’s Services in Cork

The Enable Ireland team in Cork today revealed the positive impact a generous donation of equipment and expertise from Dell Technologies in Cork has had at their Children’s Services Centre in Curraheen.

Enable Ireland has provided disability services in Cork for over 50 years. From their new Lavanagh Centre in Curraheen, they provide a wide range of therapy and support services for over 860 children and their families living in Cork city and county.

During recent months, Enable Ireland were forced to find new ways of supporting and engaging with children and families using their services both virtually and face to face for therapy clinics and interventions.

With social distancing rules in place, they needed to come up with solutions to enable them to better support children and families using their services and reimagine the layout of their centre, splitting their services across fifteen rooms in their building.

With fundraising resources severely impacted, the team reached out to Dell Technologies for support. The team at Dell donated vital IT equipment including laptops, desktop devices, monitors and projectors to enable their Children’s Services teams to work more effectively throughout the building.

Covid-19 has had an impact on the way we use our new building at the new Lavanagh Children’s Services Centre here in Curraheen. Dell’s generous donation has meant that we can provide virtual services when needed and it allows us a greater flexibility in the way we use different treatment rooms.”
