Everyone knows that intelligence is sexy. On our podcast this week our guest Dara Keogh, CEO of GeoDirectory, talks about data intelligence and how it can attract the right customer to your business. Like any relationship, the more you know about the other party, the more you can do to meet their needs. In this discussion we learn how data and location intelligence are a core part in having a customer centric approach in any business, big or small.
Dara talks about the importance of businesses using data to deliver the best possible customer experience through gaining key insights and a clear understanding of the customer journey in order to provide valuable services. We speak about GeoDirectory’s successful role in supplying businesses and organisations across Ireland with a data intelligence toolkit that allows them to deliver more
efficient services by better understanding the geographical location and flow of their current or potential customer base.
Dara, who is regular speaker at business and tech conferences, specialises in innovation, data management, location mapping and address management. Having rose through the ranks of An Post where he served in a number of sales and marketing management roles, Dara took up the helm at GeoDirectory in 2007.
Jointly established by An Post and Ordnance Survey Ireland, GeoDirectory is now Ireland’s truest source of complete, accurate address and location information services. Using a team of data scientists and technology experts, GeoDirectory now manages a definitive database that contains 1.9 million commercial buildings and over 2.2 million residential addresses in the Republic of Ireland.
In this podcast, Dara explains some of the use cases of GeoDirectory’s database with the local authorities and Irish Ambulance Service helping us to understand how these organisations have exploited location intelligence to individualise their services and create a seamless customer journey.
While the pandemic has hit many Irish businesses, GeoDirectory used this time to develop new products and enhance existing services in preparation for the country’s reopening. They have emerged with a data toolkit to help businesses across Ireland accelerate growth and recovery. We learn about GeoDirectory’s future plans and opportunities to break into international markets, to deliver their unique products and services to countries that do not have this business model in place yet.
If you’re curious to find out how data and location intelligence can attract and delight customers to enhance your business, have a listen to the podcast now.
