LKS Foundation announces LKSCoin (LKS) is a new cryptocurrency created specifically for those who create content and publish it online to help protect copyright.

Thanks to LKSCoin, in the future it will be possible to track content within social networks and in general those published by users on the web. It is thus a fast payment method for digital content published on social networks.

cryptocurrency to protect copyright for social media

The market for digital content is growing continuously and at a very fast pace thanks to the growing demand on the part of an increasing number of social network users. However, paradoxically, it is not the content creators who benefit but above all the platforms on which the content is published.

Moreover, it is still very difficult to protect the copyright of digital content produced by users.

For these reasons, the LKS foundation wanted to provide content creators with a tool that can help them make sure that they are the beneficiaries of this growth and of what they produce, not the platforms on which they publish.

This solution involves the LKSCoin cryptocurrency, specifically designed to be a currency for content, and non-fungible tokens (NFT) which will solve the copyright problem by clearly defining the authorship of the various works.

The LKS token aims to have a real social impact, seeing that there are several hundred million users who produce online content, and currently earn nothing from the content they produce, nor can they protect the authorship in any way.

In addition, it can be integrated within social network platforms to enable remuneration for its users.

The first to integrate it was the social network Cam.TV, with more than 300,000 users, where LKSCoin has already been tested for over a year. To date, Cam.TV records on average more than 20,000 LKS transactions per day resulting from likes (which in Cam.TV are donations) and from users purchasing and selling digital services and products within the social network.

Cam.TV is a social network specifically created to generate an economic system suitable for the valorization of users’ talents, who can monetize their content thanks to LKSCoin.

Among other things, by subscribing to Cam.tv users will be able to get discounts for the ICO, which will start at the end of March 2020.
