Crypto Divas – It’s a bit gloomy out there

Well, this week Liina and I had a look at the week’s news and Liina concluded it was a bit gloomy. She spoke of one sad story where the CEO of a Canadian Exchange died and took with him 190million Canadian dollars’ worth of crypto.  He was the only person with the cold storage key. We both marvelled at this. We wondered how a business could be run in such a way. What is even more perplexing is that the poor man died of a disease – by which it would seem it was not a sudden death as a heart attack automotive accident – which makes it all the more peculiar. Naturally, we both extend our sympathies to the family of the CEO but it is a very strange story in our humble opinion.

:Liina also spoke about the MAC malware that is doing the rounds – this is a worry as the Apple is often seen as relatively if not totally virus and scammer safe.

I got into the gloomy spirit of things by pointing out a recent McAfee report said there were 4million malware attempts in the last quarter of 2018, compared with just 500,000 in the combined years of 2017 and 2016.

However, not all was doom and gloom. I had read a report from CCN which nominated seven alt coins that had out performed bitcoin, and top of the list was HOT from Holochain which had enjoyed a surge of some 176%. As it happens we are invited David Atkinson to be our guest next week and so we intend to quiz him on how his chain is doing so well.
