Trilogy Technologies, a leading managed services provider in Dublin and London announces the implementation of a highly resilient IT infrastructure with a secure, remote access service to enable members to engage with Credit Union Plus outside standard working hours.
In 2016/17, Navan credit union merged with Ballivor, Ballyjamesduff, Clonmellon and Dunshaughlin credit unions to become Credit Union Plus. The combined entity has six branch offices, more than 48,000 members and €60 million in loans.
Following the merger, Trilogy implemented a fully redundant, highly secure network infrastructure, disaster recovery and managed services solution to support the newly formed Credit Union Plus’ growing business as well as meet stringent IT compliance, GDPR and Central Bank governance regulations.
Trilogy has recently added a secure, remote access solution for the Credit Union Plus’ out-of-hours hours telephone contact centre. This enables members to apply for loans over the phone at a time that suits them which is predominantly evenings and weekends. Contact centre staff have secure access via a remote desktop with two factor authentication login. All activity is audited and fully monitored and loans are progressed the next working day by credit union staff.

Following a tender process, Trilogy Technologies was chosen as Credit Union Plus’ trusted partner because of the company’s experience and expertise in the marketplace. Trilogy worked closely with the credit union’s software provider, to design the appropriate IT infrastructure to support their banking application which provides online banking, ATM services, electronic funds transfer and a range of banking services.
The complete solution is underpinned by a proactive ITIL based Managed IT Service contract which includes a fully outsourced helpdesk, the on-going administration and management of the infrastructure with added application and system monitoring all of which is reported via the Trilogy edge/point portal. Trilogy also carried out a rigorous security audit and now provides a full suite of managed security solutions including antivirus, USB lock down, encryption and mobile device management.
